Kivo Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Kivo ("the app") is built by Zenova AI LLC. This policy explains what data the app touches and — more importantly — what it doesn't.
The short version
Kivo does not have an account system, does not have a server, and does not collect, transmit, or store your resume, job history, or any personal information anywhere except your own phone. There is no "Kivo cloud" for your data to leave your phone into.
What stays on your device, always
- Your resume, work history, skills, and any facts you enter
- Every job posting you paste or share into the app
- Every resume, cover letter, and application kit Kivo generates for you
- Your preferences, corrections, and anything Kivo learns about your writing style
- Your application/interview tracking (saved jobs, statuses, notes)
All of the above is stored in a local, on-device database. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes it. Kivo has no server to send it to even if it wanted to.
The AI that writes your resumes runs on your phone
Kivo uses an on-device AI model (Google's Gemma) that downloads once after install and then runs entirely locally. Your resume and job description text is never sent to any AI company, cloud API, or third-party server to generate your documents. The only network request involved in this feature is the one-time model download itself, from Zenova's file storage — that download does not include or transmit any of your personal data.
Payment
If you choose to unlock Kivo's full features, the one-time purchase is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Kivo never sees or stores your payment details — Google handles that relationship directly, under Google's own privacy policy. Kivo only learns whether the purchase succeeded, not any payment information.
Permissions the app requests, and why
- Notifications — to tell you when a resume/cover letter you queued has finished generating, or when a batch of jobs is done. Never used for marketing.
- Storage / file access — to let you import a resume file, save a generated PDF, or back up your data to a file you choose.
- Share sheet integration — so you can share a job posting from LinkedIn/Indeed/your browser directly into Kivo.
None of these permissions give Kivo network access to your files or photos beyond what you explicitly choose to import.
What Kivo does not do
- No account creation, login, or sign-up
- No analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind
- No advertising or ad networks
- No selling, sharing, or transmitting your data to any third party
- No cloud backup of your resume or job data (backups, if you make one, are a file you control and store yourself)
Data deletion
Because everything lives on your device, you are always fully in control:
- Settings → Delete all data removes everything Kivo has stored, instantly.
- Uninstalling the app removes everything as well — there is no server-side copy to also delete.
Children's privacy
Kivo is a career/job-search tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change and the new version will be posted at this same address. Since Kivo has no way to email you (no account, no email collection), please check back if you have concerns.
